Atheism is Irrational

Unless you also claim to be agnostic as well, you believe there is no deity on faith that no evidence will ever be found.

To clarify what I mean, let’s define a few terms.

Atheism: The belief that there is no God or other Deities.
Theism: The belief that there is a God or other Deities.
Gnostic: Asserting certainty in the belief being referred to.
- Without evidence, this is Pride.
- With evidence, this is Confidence.
Agnostic: Asserting uncertainty in the belief being referred to.
- Without evidence, this is Humility.
- With evidence, this is Insecurity.

This leaves four possible high level categories for someone’s beliefs.

Agnostic Theist: Uncertain but believes a God or Deities.
- Lacks evidence or a formal logic proof they exist.
- Questions existence but has Hope or Faith they do.
- What I was most of my life.
Gnostic Theist: Certain about beliefs in a God or other Deities.
- Should have evidence or formal logic to prove existence.
  - Without those, this is “False Light” and Prideful Ignorance.
- Your typical spiritual or religious person.
Agnostic Atheist: Uncertain but believes no God or Deity exists.
- Lacks evidence or a formal logic proof they exist.
- Assumes they don’t due to disbelief in “non-falsifiable” claims.
  - This is an ignorant stance which I will explain later.
- Your typical secularist or scientist.
- This post applies to them, but they are typically harmless and don’t warrant “judgement” as they rarely judge theists unfairly.
Gnostic Atheist: Certain about the belief that no God or Deity exists.
- Lacks evidence or a formal logic proof they exist.
- Pridefully believes they can’t be wrong.
- Ignorantly believes that evidence will never be found.
- These are the ones this post was written for.
- Typically judges theists harshly and arrogantly.

The following section is written with “You” referring to Gnostic Atheists.

Judgment against Gnostic Atheists

Theists are Irrational?

You Pride yourself in your ability to think critically, rationally and skeptically and judge theists for being “sheep“, “irrational” or “ignorant“; yet ironically fail to see how you are guilty of one or all three of those things yourself!

No matter who you are, if you are a Gnostic Atheist, one or more of the following is True about you.

You blindly followed the crowd of Gnostic Atheists like a Sheep.
You irrationally believe that you can’t be wrong.
- Are you all-knowing and infallible in your logic? Incapable of making any mistakes in your analysis that “there is no God”? Well guess what asshole, that makes you the very God you say doesn’t exist. All-Knowing and Perfect. Checkmate Atheist. You exist!
You ignorantly believe that “no evidence will ever be found”.
- Your inability to understand how it could be, does not mean it is impossible or will never happen.
- Example: Two thousand years ago, someone who thinks like you would believe that “instant written and face to face communication across the world” could never exist or be understood by Humans.
  
  Due to a lack of evidence or understanding of how it could possibly be done or the existence of required “phenomenon” to understand how, you’d have claimed “It doesn’t exist and we’ll never have evidence that it could.”
  
  The Internet and Video Chat we have today would prove the person who thought like you back then wrong.

Militant Atheism doesn’t Exist?

Some of you decry various Beliefs/Faiths for being a source of violence as seen in the below me.

Atheists are just as capable of becoming intolerant fanatics as any other Faith based Belief. As I showed in the previous section, you Believe “No evidence will ever be found of a God or other Deities” without rational logic or evidence to support that belief.

With this understanding, the Faith based Belief of Gnostic Atheists is equally capable of violence and mass murder like other Theistic Faith based Beliefs. Would you like some examples?

In the early 1900’s due to social and economic hardships experienced due to economic crashes, World War I and World War II, various Authoritarian governments began to rise to give their people a sense of safety and security.

The Authoritarian governments only had three things in common.

Highly charismatic leaders with a “Cult of Personality.”
1. Hitler (Germany)
2. Mussolini (Italy)
3. Stalin (Russia)
4. Mao Zedong (China)
5. Kim Il-sung (North Korea)
6. Winston Churchill (Great Britain)
Fanatic Nationalism with Violent tendencies and Intolerance of foreigners or other races, ethnicities, spoken languages or Religions.
1. “Our country is #1”
2. Non-natives or those with different beliefs seen as “Ignorant or or Evil; desiring only to benefit from our success”.
3. Strong government ties (direct or indirect) to Religious Beliefs.
Strong and managed economics.
1. Some were Capitalist (Germany, Italy, Great Britain).
2. Some were Communist (Russia, China, North Korea)
3. While not the point of this article, “National Socialism” in Germany was “Mobilized Capitalism”. The Government was directing the privately owned businesses to manufacture what it needed for the war.
  1. Nazi Germany was a strongly Religious and Capitalist.
  2. “Socialism” in the Nazi Party name was more for marketing due to the word having a “positive meaning”.
    1. Socialism is about providing social safety nets for the working class. Those who live paycheck to paycheck and getting sick or injured will bankrupt them causing them to lose everything.
  3. The “Democratic People’s Republic of Korea” or DPRK is North Korea and is equally misleading in it’s name. It’s not Democratic, it’s not the People’s and it’s not a Republic. The only thing accurate in it’s name is “Korea” and even that’s only half right since it’s only half the country!

Of the Authoritarian countries the Communist ones following Marx’s quote above about “Religion being the Opiate of the Masses” decided to be either secular or militantly atheist; and persecuted Religious people.

Dawkins isn’t an example of a Militant Atheist. Try Stalin instead. Stalin used violence to spread not just Communism but the Atheist Faith as well! Not even counting the numbers of those persecuted, in two years from 1937 to 1938 there are recorded 96,300 members of the Russian Orthodox clergy shot by militant atheists.

In one year alone, militant atheists killed more people than both the religious examples given in the picture at the beginning of this section.

China’s government also endorses Atheism and numerous incidents of violence against non-atheist faiths occur there.

So yes, Militant Atheists exist, Gnostic Atheism is an Irrational Faith based Belief, and it is responsible for many, many, many deaths just in the past century. In conclusion, Gnostic Atheism (certainty that no God or Deity exists) is not only irrational it is not less violent.

You say “Religions are used for Evil” so that makes them Evil?

So is Science! Is Science Evil… 🤔

What about Agnostic Atheists?

Agnostic Atheists typically accuse any non-falsifiable claims or metaphysical sciences to be “Psuedoscience” and “irrelevant” or “not worth investigating or discussing”.

Well I have a major issue with that as my career and hobby for 20 years at the time of writing is entirely built on non-falsifiable claims and metaphysical sciences. It’s called Software Engineering.

Software architecture, engineering and development is completely “metaphysical” in nature with the exception of the hardware interfaces. Protocols, standards and languages are the formal logic/math/language of the Software and no process, section of code or design pattern can be “falsified”.

Software itself while running does not physically exist, even though parts of it’s structure do exist physically. Much like the Brain and the Mind.

It either works, or it doesn’t. Testing either passes or fails. It either runs like a well oiled machine or crash and burns pissing off customers and possibly costing someone a lot of money.

Software developers aren’t normal Scientists because Software isn’t Science.
Software developers aren’t Pseudoscientists or “Paranormal” believers.
Software developers aren’t “quacks”, “s(c|p)ammers” or “frauds” unless they are a gray or black hat.

Software developers are Metaphysical Scientists.

Software developers are Artists using Arcane Language and Symbols to do something that changes our Reality.

Sounds a lot like Magic right?

How can we become exceptional at Metaphysical Science or make the right choices when the wrong choices can’t be proven wrong?

We rely on formal logic like used in Philosophy (also a Metaphysical Science), mathematical analysis of code and it’s structure and abstract pattern recognition skills found in the “creative/intuitive subconscious”.

The Creative/Intuitive subconscious is the same part of our mind/brain responsible for identifying and understanding things too difficult for us to consciously grasp and form the foundation of Metaphysical, Spiritual or Theistic beliefs and experiences.

We have arrived at a host of valid and rational software development “Design Patterns” as well as documented many irrational and painful ways to write software that appear “clever” or “helpful” to a novice or “grow organically” over time due to other causes but in fact cost us a lot of time, money and labor treating the side effects. Those are called “Anti-Patterns”.

Non-Falsifiable Claims are Science

Non-falsifiable claims or beliefs can be proven “right” using the same formal logic and analysis used in both Philosophy or Software Development to create a theoretical frameworks for understanding and usage.

Non-Falsifiable Claims are not Unscientific. They’re simply not Physical Science based Claims. They’re Metaphysical Science based Claims.

Metaphysical Science is not just an academic recreation, leisure or waste of time debating unanswerable Philosophical Questions.

Metaphysical Science is the basis behind the very thing that has completely changed the face of this world and understanding it is required for anyone who wishes to become a talented professional in software development.

So when the Physical Scientists and Agonstic Atheists of the world decide to pull their heads out of their asses and work with a Metaphysical Scientist to understand the phenomenon that Spiritual/Religious people intuitively recognize and understand; you might learn something.

My understanding of Physical Sciences and Psychology (another Metaphysical Science but is really Brain Software Debugging) came from reading everything I could about them and testing my understanding using software to confirm I actually understood it. If my simulation matched reality in inputs and outputs, I had confirmed my understanding.

My understanding of the Universe also came from my attempts to “reverse engineer” it, an idea inspired by the Simulation Hypothesis and the fact that everything that exists can be modeled and simulated in Software.

How does one Reverse Engineer software like this? Look at the Inputs (actions), the Outputs (observations), identify the patterns using intuition and formal logic (develop a hypothesis), test your understanding (peer/code review and experimentation to ensure inputs/outputs match) and if something the software does simply doesn’t make sense from a User’s perspective; look at it from the Architect’s perspective to understand why that choice was made.

Black Holes are what I imagine is what “Garbage Collection” in managed runtimes would look like to a conscious piece of code. As the data (matter) gets deleted to free up memory, it might look like it’s falling into a black hole from which no light or matter ever escapes!

Blinded by the Light

I would like to strongly caution against any attempts to “reverse engineer” any phenomenon of the Universe that require you look at it from the Architect’s perspective.

Doing so, described more simply, is Cognitive Empathizing with God.

Thinking and looking at Reality or “Creation” as God would; is essentially the cause of the suicides in the documentary “Dangerous Knowledge”. The documentary is about mathematicians who changed the world with their discoveries in mathematics but all ended up killing themselves.

This is what the Exodus 33:20 in the Bible is literally referring to!

This is the best way I can describe why.

“When you peel back the fabric of reality to get a glimpse of the internals of how it all works, you risk being ‘Blinded by the Light of God‘.”

This does not directly cause physical death however. It directly causes metaphysical death. The “Ego” is the Software of the Mind and understanding God (seeing God’s Face/Light) is not only Blinding, it kills the Ego’s ability to function correctly, manifesting as insanity and psychosis.

The insanity and psychosis will then lead to physical death or a mental health diagnosis of one of the thought disorders like schizophrenia.

Metaphorically “Seeing God (looking underneath the Fabric of Reality)” literally causes an Ego death. Which is a Metaphysical death of our Mind’s software, not Physical one of our Body.

How do I know?

It happened to me but I somehow survived. For almost a year I knew for a fact I was in a state of psychosis and could not tell what was real anymore. It felt like I was transitioning between different realities or parallel universes, it felt like some people were reading my mind based on the things they’d say, it felt like everyone was testing me, teaching me, trying to entrap me or trying to trick me / take advantage of me.

Some would speak incomprehensibly (in tongues) from my perception all of a sudden (nothing they said sounded like real words) and it felt like they were a demon, others felt like angels giving me advice and assistance when I desperately needed it and some actual events were just so unbelievably improbable that I still can’t believe they actually happened.

But friends confirmed they did… so I guess they did? Unless my friends confirmations were hallucinations as well…. see what I mean?

I still went to work at my job and though it felt like “God” would random start speaking to me through the music in the Lobby or randomly through the things my co-workers said. I was able to respond as if none of this was actually happening by ignoring it or looking for what the meaning of the words would be if the person speaking had said it instead of “God”.

I still spent time with friends, and started writing and creating art about everything I was experiencing and observing. However showing them this art and asking their thoughts or opinions lead most to stop talking to me and assume I’ve gone insane.

Eventually I quit three different software development jobs over the past two years for various reasons and now do DoorDash for money while I focus on creating this blog and writing about everything I’ve experienced and learned in my life.

Does some divine entity or deity exist?

Possibly, but instead of Proving a God or Deity exists, how about we show how Atheism, whether Gnostic or Agnostic, is irrational and not a logical conclusion based on available evidence instead?

Arguments against Atheism

Based on the things I’ve experienced which would be diagnosed as a severe case of psychosis; yes, a “God” of some sort exists. Anecdotes don’t “count” as valid evidence precisely for this very reason however. So I can’t use this to support my Theism.

Philosophy of Solipsism along with the Eastern Beliefs and definition for the “Self” being “God” is a simple to understand and rational.
- The “Self” and “God” refer to our Consciousness/Soul which is the “entity” being greeted with Namaste.
- The “I” or “Ego” refers to our “False Self” or Unconscious Behavioral programming (Software) which is the “entity” being greeted when someone says “Hello Bob!”.
- This is proven possible using the rationality behind Descarte’s Cogito ergo Sum; however I’ve proven Solipsism unlikely true.
- Three or More conscious observers is the most likely Truth.
  - At minimum Three Consciousness’ are required for objective Truth to exist, which appears to be the case based on analysis of all facts. The linked post explains how I reached this conclusion.
The definition of a “God” or “Deity” does not necessarily refer to the literal existence of an anthropomorphic (human-like) deity.
- Ma’at in Egyptian linguistic usage referred to two things.
  - The abstract concepts of “Justice, Truth, Balance and Order”. Someone “had Ma’at” if they were an honest and fair person.
  - In the creative fictions of their Mythology she is anthropomorphized as a Goddess.
  - Culturally they valued “Justice, Truth, Balance and Order” and so “praised Ma’at” in Spiritual/Religious traditions and visualized her as the Goddess found in their myths.
- There is no reason they can’t refer to an abstract conceptual entity (as Ma’at does) or other emergent supra-consciousness.
  - Swarm/hive intelligence as seen in insects.
  - The Gaia Hypothesis.
  - Humans at various levels could possess supra-consciousness with “the Lord” being the Consciousness for the entire Human Race as I explain in my “Spiritual Concepts for Scientists” post.
Existence itself is a Recursive Paradox of Self-Manifestation.
- Something is the original Self-Manifested Source of All.
- Whether that’s the Universe and Big Bang as believed by a Naturalistic Pantheist, Consciousness itself or something else; that original Self-Manifested entity is the “God” Atheists claim does not exist.

These three arguments alone are all that’s needed to show that Atheism is not only irrational, but relies on an ignorant and naive understanding of “God” or the deities found in the World’s religious mythologies.

While this ignorant and naive understanding is one Theists are also guilty of; this post is my Judgement of Atheists, not Theists.

Theists are still on my to do list however, so don’t worry Atheists. I don’t play favorites and will Judge all who Judge others!

If you’re wondering what right I have to Judge my answer is simple.

The moment someone Judges another, they are giving everyone the right to Judge them as well. In my experience, all who Judge are Guilty of the very thing they are Judging others for doing.

Examples:

I’m Judging others for Judging others.
Gnostic Atheists hold irrational and illogical beliefs and Judge Theists for being irrational and illogical.
Frequently people are caught engaging in the very actions they sought to criminalize or prevent being legal (homosexuality, prostitution and drugs are a very common example).

Gnostic Atheists who brag about how “rational” and “logical” they are while judging Theists are Blind to their own irrational and illogical beliefs!

Side note: Blindly following Jesus’ teachings no matter what I saw, heard or felt while in Psychosis lead to me behaving in a way that no one was directly hurt, arrested or killed due to my actions.

Thank you Jesus for showing me “the Way” to not only survive but also walk through a metaphorical and perceptual Hell unscathed and unafraid. It was so Dark and Disorienting that even my magic (Science) was useless down there; but your Light was not!

The Tao Te Ching however is far simpler and quicker to read for those who are interested in learning “the Way (to Live)” that Jesus preached. Tao also translates as “the Way” and was written 4,000 years before Jesus lived!

Speaking of which, an excerpt from my original poem as Veridicus Ficta:

Personally if we want to talk about Self-Sacrificing Love, I think Darth Vader (the Father) sacrificing himself to save Luke Skywalker (the Son) is a far better Fable to teach about Morality and Love.

Not only does it teach about a Father who Loves and accepts his Son who is his enemy, willing to accept him back with open arms…
